This function requires having the Google account synchronized and in case of computers it is essential to have Chrome installed. Then, if the user pauses the video while it's playing in the YouTube app for Android or iOS, it will be possible to continue watching it from the same point on the computer. When YouTube is opened on the computer, a pop-up window will show in the lower right corner, with the playback line of the video, right where it was stopped, so the user can keep playing it when he decides.
